For DQ Rogers, music isn’t just something he does — it’s something he lives. The artist, also known as Roger Ruthle$$, has been carving his lane since 2015, bringing raw authenticity and life experience into every track.
“My music is all my life n lifestyle,” he says. “I stay motivated by going out, living life, seeing new things, having new experiences — it all gives me something new to talk about.”
That sense of motion and self-expression goes all the way back to his earliest inspiration. “Dj Unk’s ‘Walk It Out’ was one of the first songs that made me wanna make music. Something about that beat made me feel like I could make a song too.”
Fast forward to now, and Rogers is gearing up to drop his newest project, TARE, produced entirely by his longtime collaborator thesmoothcat. “His sound was totally different from mine, but we connect on mad levels musically,” he says. “We were trying new sounds on this one while still keeping that me vibe. It drops 11/11, so something to look out for.”
The artist’s creative network continues to grow too. His biggest collab so far? A$AP Ant. “Bro a real living legend fr. He hard. I did stuff with other known artists too, but Ant prolly was one of the most known.”
As he continues to evolve, DQ Rogers remains focused on one thing — living more and growing more. And if his journey so far is any indication, he’s only getting started.
